What Does AGC Do in Central Texas?
The Central Texas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) serves as the leading voice for the commercial construction industry in our region. We work every day to strengthen and protect the businesses that build Central Texas providing advocacy, workforce development, safety programs, and business opportunities. Our team engages with local governments, state agencies, and community partners to address challenges like permitting, workforce shortages, safety regulations, and public policy. Through training, networking events, and industry partnerships, we connect contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers to the tools and relationships they need to succeed. Whether it’s fighting for fair legislation, improving job site safety, or growing the next generation of skilled workers, AGC is dedicated to building a stronger future for the entire Central Texas construction community.

Advantages of Membership:

Why Join Central Texas AGC?

Our comprehensive safety and training programs—including dedicated Safety Director services—help you protect your workforce and stay compliant. We offer unmatched networking opportunities with general contractors, owners, and industry leaders, opening doors to new business and partnerships. In addition, members benefit from strong legislative representation at the local, state, and national levels, ensuring your business interests are protected and your voice is heard. Whether you’re seeking growth, compliance support, or industry influence, Central Texas AGC is your essential partner.

This membership category is for general contractors whose principal line of work is building construction. For the first year of membership a $100 initiation fee must accompany the membership application. For each year thereafter annual dues are $1,320.

Additionally, general contractor members pay service fees (assessments) on each and every general construction prime contract and construction management contract awarded to them.  The service fee is approximately 1/10 of 1% of the contract amount, and the maximum annual assessment amount (aggregate) is $35,000.
